New Leader Better Future

Aih, it feels so nice to write you another post alhamdulillah :)

First of all, let’s congratulate ourselves for having Mr. Joko Widodo and Mr. Jusuf Kalla as our new leaders! As an Indonesian, I’m very proud and hat off to the people because the process went peaceful and democratic. Isn’t that the most important thing, right? Unity always comes first!

Well, I just wish that both leaders have siddiq, amanah, fathanah, the values that our prophet Muhammad SAW has taught us. InsyaAllah, with those attributes, they could hold the legacy well and lead us for 5 years ahead. Hopefully, having them and new government will bring a bright future for the people, justice for those who are rightful, wealth for those who are in need, education for every single person in this country, from Weh Island to Merauke hehe. Amin Allahumma aamin.

As a fashion designer, I hope that our president could show his support to preserve our culture, local heritage and also the workers! Every part of Indonesia’s fashion industry and its current movement are now heading to a whole new class in world stage, especially the Muslim Fashion industry that will become the “Mecca” of world muslim fashion in 2020 :) Yayyy!

On a lighter note, let me throw million thank you’s to you, sisters and bros! Thank you so much for your endless support during DP Goes to New York and DC Fashion Week with Wollipop. It was totally an experience to treasure, my pride to be an Indonesian and showcase our local fabric on NYFW and DCFW’s catwalks :) Thank you for the 1-million-followers on Instagram! Your loves and comments on my photos will always make my capture-and-share experiences, wonderful! And also, thank you to everyone who keeps supporting me until this moment, keep having me in your du’a. More projects to come! And, oh my God! Annual event Jakarta Fashion Week is coming on the way! Wish me luck! Hehehe..

Waah, seneng banget bisa ngeblog lagi yaaa alhamdulillah :) 

Pertama-tama, selamat atas terpilihnya Bapak Joko Widodo dan Bapak Jusuf Kalla sebagai Presiden dan Wakil Presiden Republik Indonesia! Aku bangga dan salut banget karena Pemilu kemarin berjalan damai dan demokratis, yang menurut aku itu adalah hal terpenting! Siapapun yang diputuskan bangsa ini sebagai pemimpinnya, kesatuan Negara harus nomor 1!

Aku berharap bapak pemimpin kita selalu dilindungi Allah SWT dan memiliki nilai-nilai kepemimpinan yang baik sesuai ajaran Nabi Muhammad SAW: siddiq, amanah, fathanah. InsyaAllah dengan sifat-sifat tersebut, beliau-beliau dapat memimpin bangsa ini dengan baik 5 tahun ke depan! Semoga pemerintah yang baru pun dapat memberikan masa depan yang lebih baik lagi untuk rakyatnya, keadilan untuk yang berhak, kesejahteraan untuk rakyat kecil, pendidikan untuk setiap orang di negeri ini, dari pulau Weh sampai Merauke hehe. Amin Allahumma aamin.

Sebagai desainer, aku berharap bapak presiden kita memberikan dukungannya untuk pelestarian budaya Indonesia dan para pekerja, karena industri mode Indonesia saat ini sedang saaaangat berkembang, terutama industri mode muslim yang insyaAllah akan menjadi kiblat mode muslim dunia pada tahun 2020 :) Yayyy! 

On a lighter note, let me throw million thank you’s to you, sisters and bros! Terima kasih banyak atas dukungan yang tak terhingga selama project DP Goes to New York and DC Fashion Week with Wollipop. Pengalaman yang sangat berharga dan ngga akan bisa dilupakan! Suatu kebanggaan untukku, tim Dian Pelangi dan rekan-rekan yang berangkat untuk menunjukkan kain-kain khas Indonesia di catwalk NYFW dan DCFW :) Terima kasih pula untuk satu juta followers di akun Instagram-ku! Love dan comments kalian selalu ngebuat aku semangat untuk share foto-foto favoritku dan keep in touch dengan kalian itu seru banget!
